    Listen, if this turns out be anything short of a catastrophe I’ll be extremely surprised. However, although some of us think the country is risking a great deal pursuing something that appears to have no clear benefits, those of us with grandchildren absolutely do not want to see the country go to the dogs. For anyone to say otherwise is extremely insulting. But not unexpected.

    Social media that for you. All the loud people full of hatred you'll see the most make you think England is hated. I agree that the empire and government as some sort of hatred but not English as people or anyone as a person. If you go out there and respect people. Im sure you'll be okay

    Ridiculous comment.

    Nobody wants the Sunderland Nissan plant close or the border chaos at the ports. I've not absorbed Remain into my character.

    However, these negatives of Brexit were plain to see, and it seems to be going exactly as lots of us feared. And everyone is right to point out that it's going terribly.

    And for the record, we use theFrench ports aned buy good from the EU because that's thge most efficient and cost effective way to trade. We can buy from elsewhere but goods will become more expensive, and therefore we'll all be worse off.

    Brexit is stupid.

    I wouldn't worry too much about UK hauliers - there are only a few thousand permits issued to UK lorries to deliver in the EU (iirc 7000 out of the 70000 lorries that deliver to Europe now) and cabotage (delivery to multiple destinations) is currently not allowed making it less profitable for British logistics companies. The EU companies will only queue up for so long before giving up delivering to the UK.
