That’s the spirit. We know Mowatt won’t be here he’s out of contract and will undoubtedly get an offer we can ‘t begin to compare with. Dike’s not ours anyway. We may lose another possibly Styles. We are now a more attractive offer to targets who probably would’ve opted for elsewhere. Even if Val moved on I think our stock has increased markedly this season.
Looking at their run in, think that’s highly unlikely. In fact the only game you would expect them to win is the last game against Huddersfield.
Why would we get dismantled? We're actually in a position where pretty much the whole squad is under contract for at least another 2 years. That's why staying up last season was so important to this cycle - this season is a bonus in that we are where we would (still very much hope) we would be next season. There are also a lot of bonus' from this season, even regardless of us getting into the playoffs: The clubs stock has risen massively Less trouble attracting talent (the comment about players turning us down no regretting it) The above will not only help us get the players we want, but faster and at a better deal (more than one option per position) If or when we do sell a player, we should most likely be looking at 5 million + as a minimum starting point, allowing greater reinvestment into the squad Whole host of players in the team with a season of championship football under their belts If we do make the playoffs this gives us a chance of keeping Mowatt. We now only need to make a few tweaks to continue the momentum, we have a philosophy that will continue to be refined. A lot is going in our favour.
