we'll have to agree to disagree on that one then mate. Im convinced this level is a stage too high for Moore this season. He's nowhere near fit enough and his pace is becoming a problem. The first choice full backs are also completely lacking in pace, have awful distribution and provide no width going forward The backup we have is nowhere near good enough for this level, even as backup. Our captain and centre half is irreplaceable in both senses, but has been as bad as any of the others this year. We have a centre half who I would hazard a guess that no one has seen live (at CB) - but our defensive frailties and the excuses that go with it have been down to his unavailability. Not wanting to blame a man no longer in a job, but how on earth can you go into a season believing that you need 7 strikers for 2 positions and 7 defenders (one unavailable, one really a winger and one who had played 2 games) for 4 positions. I believe its the defence (over the last 3 years) and not sorting it out that got Davey the sack.
Dan well hes tried to get a number of different defenders in to the club. The 2 i can remember his nyatanga/werling. Darren Moore's been around a first team for 20 years and when has he ever been quick. Bogdanovic is a natural winger for the 4-3-3 style and i also thought that macken did very well on the right. Hassell and kozluk will get better i believe.
Well, I live in hope that they do get better and that a new manager given the players we have doesnt touch 4-3-3.
