    Swift probably not, because he was already under contract. But any new contracts that Reading have given out this season have been under restrictions, so they can't pay over 8k/week. Obviously Drinkwater will be getting paid a truckload more, but the majority of it by Chelsea.     I find it disgusting that we're bottom of the league given all Derby's troubles. We will remain there for the rest of the season!

    Don't know about Blunts not doing us any favours we can't do ourselves any. Poor teams just above us but we're worse. We all know what players we need but the flaming owners won't budge ,,CRAZY!!!!

    We have 14 points, with a grand total of 2 wins all season. We deserve to be bottom.

    If anyone thinks we’ve been unlucky our xg points is 11.

    We're ****, we're going to be the worst championship team in history IMO. Our league position is disgusting given Derby's troubles.

    TBF I actually don’t think that other teams do have more spirit than us as such.
    Yes our morale will be down but aI think the players do care but are just being hamstrung by the idiots at the top with their flawed recruitment policy, the effect of which was made worse by their **** eyed ideas on tactics.
    In short they should leave the football to folk who know what it’s actually all about!

    It doesn't all come down to money, as last season proved. A lot of it comes down to heart and desire, and at the minute most of our lot are unfortunately showing the heart of a pea.

    No leadership in the squad and zero experience in midfield. The club thought that the captain and best midfielder at the club could be replaced with players with barely any first team experience. Don’t know if it was naivety, or complacency, but no lessons from the august 2019 window have been learned
