Blackburn...

The problem for their fans (the older ones that is) is their history. Going back a long way they were an established First Division club, winning trophies and fielding international players. They were a proper Lancashire rival to the Manchester and Liverpool clubs. But then things went downhill and they had to be rescued by their own Patrick Cryne - Jack Walker in their case. He bankrolled another run of success and they were buying players like Alan Shearer to fire them to the league title. Things were rosy again but, as before, it couldn't last and they tumbled out of the top flight.

They are now no more than a run of the mill mid-table side and not likely to improve any time soon. I don't know who they are on the forum coming out with the negative comments but they obviously suffer from severe Wednesday-itis. What a shame
