That works in theory for Chien and maybe at a push Conway.
Granted we don’t know the exact make up of our ownership but we do know Chien the majority holder and thought Beane is a minority of a few %?
If that’s correct not really a lot of Financial benefit for Beane. That said perhaps Beane was with a view of his upcoming startup.

Not arguing as agree with what you have put generally, just questioning the motive for minority holders

The ownership seems to vary per club with the constants being ConLee. I suspect the varying owners have a small percentage equity stake. Given Beane seems to be involved in the RedBall Corp and has been involved in other advisory roles, it may well be that not all directors get remuneration. It may be none do, as the details are quite opaque, only that directors remuneration significantly jumped since they acquired us and I'd be interested if that trend is constant across the other clubs they own 80% in.

The big problem with announcing that you're not going to put a penny into the running costs of the club.
Is everybody knows about it including obviously other clubs.

Clubs need millions just to tick over every year
So it makes you a sitting duck for player sales as in getting a good top price or even a fair price for you're assets
You cannot take the high ground or play hard ball because you need the money for the running costs especially now since we seem to have little or no reserves left.

Unless you have a very special talent that everybody wants and lots of clubs are interested in and as Red Rain said this may be a once in a lifetime event ala John Stones.
You end up and are forced to sell your players under value and instead of selling one it has to be two or more.
