I used him because a professional football manager picked him as a forward as his options were so limited. Morris is a good player. His injury record suggests he will struggle to complete more than half the games in a season. His lack of fitness is such that he had looked anonymous whilst starting and makes more impact coming off the bench. We need to see more of him to come to a real judgement. His career record is pretty meh. We need to see if Val just got the best out of him and it won’t be repeated ir if he can carry on. Nothing we have seen this season suggests it is a long term change in a career which is play get inured get fit play get injured. Too early to say but can’t say I’m confident.

Vic is a long way off the required standard for a championship player

A football manager who me, you and others thought was the worst barnsley manager in a generation. We had actual strikers available who were better options than odour who were ignored.

As for vic maybe he is way of the required standard but cauley has been way off this season and if it was vic missing a free header from 6 yards out the pitch forks would be well and truly out from the same fans who have booed him entering play from the bench.

Worst manager or not still knows better than us mugs. That Victor is anywhere near our first team shows how poor our options are.

Shows how bad our options are that when players are.out of form offering nothing they aren't been rested.

Not sure that Val or Daniel or even Gerard would agree but perhaps they should bow to your greater knowledge.

But he wasn't out of form under Daniel or struber. Hardly greater knowledge i just don't think he is playing well and 3 goals in 18 games back this up and could do with a rest, you consider him undroppable.

I do not think he is having a good season , as I have said the whole team is struggling & low on confidence but I believe he like others will eventually get their form back & we need our better players to stay at the club but you like others have to have your scapegoat & when you have driven him out of the club you will move on to someone else .

He's not a scapegoat, every player has been way below par so far this season, the difference is every other player has been dropped, rested, swapped out (call it what you will), but Woodrow seems to be untouchable.

It seems weird that he's been consistently one of the worst of a bad bunch but he plays the full 90, game after game.

To me, that's a huge problem.

I haven't read the full thread. I think it's a massive over reaction to a defeat to Fulham. I'd written it off when the fixtures came out.

You talk about scapegoats but reading your posts you have a few yourself. I'm not trying to force him out just think he has been below par for a player who I expect alot better from.

Just this when the boo boys finally get their scapegoat out of the club and we are playing Vic and Frieser up front they will move onto the next victim.

Last striker we had who did better was Dyer 20 years ago.

Imagine the stick this lot would be giving Rammell or Saville. John McDonald, or any of the other 100s of strikers who failed to get into double figures most seasons

Jesus, all we're saying is that he's not doing well at the moment and he needs dropping for a few games.

He's obviously a good player, but it's just not happening for him. Give him a rest and see how he reacts.

As I've said previously, it just seems really weird that Woodrow has performed as bad as (in some cases worse than) everyone else yet he plays every single minute. It's truly bizarre.

It honestly feels like he's had his contract amended since he got the captaincy so that he can't be dropped.

The best players inevitably come in for the most criticism because they're the ones you pin your hopes on. It's no surprise Helik, Styles, Brittain and Woodrow have received stick this season. They're all grossly under performing.

This really. If we had better players they would be dropped. But we haven’t so getting on their backs achieves nowt
