Maybe, worth a try if our new manager thinks that's what's needed.

I'd give the armband to Collins let him concentrate on himself and a little rest see if he can find his feet again.

Can you imagine if we were looking to sign a forward and we had the option of a player who had scored 50 goals in 3 seasons including 30 in the championship or a bloke with 8 in over a 100 games and only 5 at championship level and we went for the second bloke. People would be having a fit.

Oakwelll fans have always been incredibly fickle and need a boo boy. I remember the slating Nicky Eaden got. As Brittain didn’t play yesterday time to go for second choice on the boo boy hitlist.

He brings being an infinitely better player than Vic will ever be. If we had better options we would go with them but our last 5 managers didn’t think we had and I’d say they know better than us.

I think people make there minds up about players and once they do thats that. Its showing with cauley been defended by fans for the past year after poor performances. Same with brittain good last season poor this. It reminds me of when people made there minds up on brad potts was ***** even when he transferred to pne after scoring and assisting regular, people on here believed liam lindsay was a better center half than pinnock and of course the old if toneys worth 5 million whats woodrow worth....

he is currently our top scorer with 3 goals. No I don’t think he’s in good form but he still miles ahead of the alternatives. But yeah the boy boys need a target so crack on.

so if in January we had the choice between a forward who had scored 30 goals in the championship in the last 2 seasons or one who had managed 8 in a 100 games who would you choose. They are your options. Choose one.

I think you must know the answer to that my point is on current form I'm not sure what cauley is bringing to the team. I'd definitely be letting him have a rest if I was the manager looked gutted when the sitter came back off the post.

So do you think the goal at Stoke which got us a point should not count as it wasn"t a goal from open play ? minds you I suppose that worldy cannot compare with a two yard tap in simply because its not from open play

Two yard tap in v qpr? The stoke one was a good goal but if anyone earned us a point that game it was brad Collins his goal was bombarded for 90 minutes.

You keep emphasising that we he does not score from open play so I asked the question , should the goal against Stoke be discounted because it was not from open play ? & I agree with you about Collins being superb that night, however we were losing & needed an equaliser & the one bit of quality made it happen .

No but 52 swallows in 3 years make Woodrow a very valuable player for us and one we need to try to get the best out of its not hard to understand that.

I joked earlier in the season that people would discount it to suit an agenda. I gues s we won’t count anyone who scored from a corner as well ( not that’s it’s likely we ever will again)

If they have both scored 3 I'd say woodrow is joint leading scorer 3 goal in 18 games so far. Played every minute of this season.

right now run a similar exercise with Frieser who would you choose. Now do Odour. Who would you choose? Now do Cole again who would you sign? That leaves Obbi. Awful goal record and injury prone.

So our forwards boil down to 3 real options. Morris made of glass though a good player and Iseka who is more of a drifting number 10 than a forward though he looks good.

if we are playing 3 up front you have to play Woodrow upfront. I would switch to 2 forwards and give Woodrow a rest but If we persist with 3 we have little option.

Why have you used odour when you have previously said he isn't a forward to put your argument across? Odour isn't a forward.

Morris is probably the best all round forward we have at the minute id give woodrow a rest take him out of the spotlight give the armband to Collins and bring him back in a few games. I'd start Morris iseka and Vic.
