Anyone know where The Imperial Hall was

    Thanks for that , I wouldn't have thought the Devonshire would have had the space though , a sports venue in the 30's would have been looking to accommodate sizeable crowds , some of the parks in Sheffield were used and were attracting 15, 000 plus ...and quite a few of the lads fighting at the Imperial also fought in the Sheffield venues according to the adverts and results .
    Qualter Hall had premises on Midland St . that they rented from the Railway company but vacated years earlier , I'm wondering if the boxing venue could have been an old workshop or warehouse given a grander name .

    My understanding has always been that it was in the bus station area
    . Indeed the posters we donated to the lorca room definitely said Midland. Street.
