Agree. Up to Struber departing it wouldn't have made a difference if we had Zlatan Ibrahimovic up front we weren't getting the ball into the right areas. If Struber had got his "goalscorer". He'd have ruined him like he nearly did Woodrow. Struber was blaming attacking options for lack of tactical nouse.

It would be great to have an Ashley Ward or Trevor Aylott but if we did then they wouldn`t be around for very long before someone would offer terms we would have to accept.
I`d be more than happy with someone of the ilk of Big Stan - real passion and no little skill at finishing.

It looks like it now doesn't it. We've signed no strikers since GS left and we've scored 8 goals in 4 games. Read into that what you will. :)

Talking of SSW....he went to Oxford at the start of the season but hasn’t featured at all, unless I have missed one or two. Have they signed him injured?

I think he was injured when they signed him.

According to their forum he's a few more weeks off starting:

As a striker David Currie. As a target man Steve Cooper would be up there among my favourites. God rest his soul.

David Geddis. Worked hard, good finisher and with a nasty streak - something we lack at times

Marlon Harewood would take this team to new heights I feel. Not pretty, but he'd do exactly what we need and would be an amazing presence in the locker room.

Yup. In those days, everything was sepia coloured. As children, you were either sent down the pit, or up a chimney.
