Bit concerning how Conor has someone so close to him that he obviously trusts and confides his thoughts in him and then he goes off and blabs.
Also interesting that Conor seems to have the major say in recruitment now, certainly an increased role in that over the last few head coaches.

I don't know how much truth is in it but ive heard that 2 players going out on loan possibly before saturday, that said discussions have taken place about cancelling the contract of one of them.
Plus the club have turned down 2 offers for two of the first team squad due to abysmal valuations by the other clubs involved
interest came from the championship and north of the border.
There's also been talk of another option on the loan out front, player exchange plus cash but the other club are weighing up their options.
Striker wise we are looking at one of two targets but differ on valuation on both, one uk based the other from abroad.
It might all be a load of boll#cks but it's what I've been told, so thought I'd share

 

I think everyone would guess that the players to go out on loan would be Lopata and Nwakali and they'd be the favourites for someone having a contract cancelled. Everyone else appears to be part of the plans. That doesn't mean we won't sell if the right offer is received but I doubt they'd let anyone else out on loan.

Lopata and Smith to be loaned out and Nwakali to have his contract cancelled would be my educated guess.

 

Seeing as we're known to be on a very tight budget, do you really think they'd shell out any money on a player Conor has stated he doesn't see figuring in his plans?

 

Having a contract cancelled without boths consent would have to be a serious breach on his part. As Nwalaki is reported as to be one of the highest paid, (one site says £6k pw) and contracted to 2027.
He's not going to leave for nowt. If £600k is on the line.

 

Cannot in a million years see us as a third tier club spending 6k a week on someone who had never played English football before and before joining us still hadn't clocked up 200 career games despite being in his late 20s.

 

Accounts to June 2024 show our entire wage bill was over £11m.

And if to be believed. On several sites the average salary across league 1 is over 7kpw £350kpa.
"Wages in league 1 have skyrocketed over the last few years". That came directly from the club.

 

Is that just players wages or all staff including non playing. ? Of which their are 59 apparently. Some of those will be on peanuts. Then coaches groundstaff and good jobs in the background Probably only the CEO SD and Conor on very large salaries.
