Projection regarding possible league placement since Struber came in shows us in seventeenth place with twenty five points. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...-gerhard-strubers-games-charge-2442648?page=6
Which just goes to show that Championship experience was needed from the start of the season because as the players we have have gained a bit of experience the results have improved sadly the board werent intelligent enough to realise this in the summer.
Wish I could share Struber and Mowatts optimism. Five or six wins out of our remaining fixtures is a massive ask as far as I am concerned. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...ampionship-survival-still-possibility-2445786
True Helen and normally that is my attitude re- we are not down until it's mathematically impossible for us to accrue sufficient points to stay up, but the way we have played against Reading and Cardiff, sadly does not suggest to me, that we can win six of our remaining nine games. Effectively we could afford to lose to QPR (a), Leeds (a) and Brentford (a), but beat Millwall (h) , Blackburn (h) , Wigan (h), Luton (a) , Forest (h) and Stoke (a). With the best will in the world and sincerely hoping that I am wrong, I can't see that happening somehow.
Maybe that's because the inexperience at that club lies with the manager not the players sadly at Barnsley FC Championship experience is lacking in the squad in the coaching staff in the board room and it's showed all season.
That’s not true. We have made progress. Just not the miraculous progress that was needed. The team under Struber has improved significantly. We were as good as down when he took over. We were heading for a record low points total. We will still go down but that is because we gave everyone a third of a seasons start.
progress in what way? We are at the bottom of the league. Just purely in terms of league positions that in the end represent success or failure what progress have we made?
