    Back in the mid 80s, our game was postponed so we looked for a game we could get to.

    Ended up getting train and watching Man United v West Brom.

    I'm pretty sure it was cheaper in the
    Stretford End than it was in the Ponty at the time.

    Am I missing something? If it was £1.40 for a match day ticket, why was it £40 odd for a season ticket?

    I could well be wrong , but I seem to remember in the mid sixties it was about 4 shillings & 6d & as we approached the seventies , it was about 8 shillings , of course I am quoting the dearest price I can remember , I do not have any idea how concessions worked in them days but they would have been cheaper , plus it was always dearer on the terrace as opposed to the paddock
