But anyone who still believes that would work hasn’t grasped the concept of tanks or cruise missiles.
From all the figures and reports on mail in voting I've ever seen come out of America fraud is absolutely miniscule. Apparently almost 1 in 4 votes in the last Presidential election were cast by mail. It's perfectly obvious Trump sees suppressing the vote as a way of getting re elected. Many states conduct mail in voting.M There's no issue with it other than Trump's effort to slow down the process and discredit it.
Cheers, nice one. It's good to see you guys getting involved. I'm into my craft beers normally, drinking in a few of the pubs in Headingley / Meanwood & I like a lot of the BrewDog IPAs. I'm less of a fan of Punk TBH, it's a bit sweet for me, but there are plenty to go at. At the moment I've no money to go out, so it's cheap cider on the odd occasion I have a tipple. I'm reduced to drinking it in the park with a few mates who are skint too. Will be harder to do that in winter though.
No it isn't. Postal voting has been in use in the USA for decades and before Trump it has never been regarded in any way as a problem - same as in the UK. Trump is using it to frighten people into voting for him.
My brother sent me a birthday card recently, with tracking. It left Barnsley on 31st July and arrived in San Francisco on 4th August. As my birthday was 6th August, I was excited that my card would arrive on time, for once. Then nothing happened until 11th August, when it turned up in New York. On the 13th August it returned to San Francisco. On the 15th August I received a message that they'd tried to deliver it, but I wasn't home, so they left a note. I was home all day; they never tried to deliver it and they never left a note. It was finally delivered on 17th August. I have read many comments on this and similar threads. I prefer not to get into political discussions, so I just read such threads. I have to say it is amazing what people want to believe about the USA, based on the MSM source of their choice. After 25 years here, I want to say most of it is not true, or if it is, it is exaggerated. It always looks different from afar. I've lived, worked and traveled in about half the states. Much like my brother worrying when he say tanks rolling through the streets of Manila on the news, soldiers roaming the street, and people told to stay in their hotels. I was actually there, and down the bar.
I think you do a grand job of staying out of it. Much better than me! I only chime in from time to time because of how people make such sweeping generalisations, about such a vast country, based on a snippet of media coverage that is obviously there to suit a particular agenda. It's very different when you witness how things are with your own eyes, speak to different people, etc. I found it interesting that the first time Nancy Pelosi's name came up on the BBS it was about Brexit and not about her Dominic Cummings impersonation of one rule for you and a completely different rule for me.
