He'll need to be an MP though, he might be recalled by the Standards Committee and kicked out in a bye election by then. A point to note is that the Standards Committee are "investigating" him for something he has already openly admitted and apologised for but crucially hasn't corrected the Parliamentary record - and it's far too late for him to do that. He's bang to rights as they say. Remember he didn't even have a massive majority in his seat in 2019. They might try to find him a safe seat and get the sitting MP to resign but even then they lost a very safe seat to the Lib Dems not long ago. I can't really see a way back for him to be honest.
There were quite a few spoiled papers in the leadership vote. I wonder how many of them had ‘Johnson’ written on them?
what do you think. Pannick https://metro.co.uk/2022/09/03/liz-...partygate-inquiry-if-she-becomes-pm-17293613/
Aye that's him. Trying to get him off on a technicality despite having admitted that he lied and apologised for it but not corrected record. Should be an open and shut case.
