This season is best opportunity we're going to have on and off the field to get back where I think we belong ( however deluded that may seem). Covid like it or not has given us some parity. Parity we haven't seen since 1995. We're wasting that with an absolute numpty in charge. Yes he's won ten games but the football is ****. Bullied by ****** Wycombe ffs we should be battering **** like that. Oh but Brentford. **** ****** Brentford. We're Barnsley. Do we measure our ***** everytime we go for a ****?
Think Donny are doing very well but as we know it's a big step up. Rotherham are struggling again this season.and Wycombe got to 2 - 2 and then gave 5 more away.
I think there was a lot of excitement when we had a good run in December that we could push for the playoff places. Not to say that we still couldn’t, but I think we are still work in progress and perhaps Decembers results potentially gave false hope. Just my thoughts and opinion of course, but I hope we can get closer to the playoff places, but I would be happy to get 50 points and then consolidate for next season. The future is bright, the future is Red
If he has, it's understandable. I wasted a tenner this afternoon and I'd like to erase it from my memory too.
I think you have got a point about Covid Stephen in that other teams are being cautious about spending but I think our first season didn't provide enough of a springboard. We're still learning, our team are still very young.
Oh n' next random comment. The treatment of Sollbauer by the club is shocking. It's obvious they're dropping him because they don't want to be seen as wrong offering an ageing player a contract. Get Sibbick in n' make it look like we have options. That defence is ****, the tactics are **** and the Head Coach is a pile of ****. We're due some stuffings constantly relinquishing possession. It ant worked for Mourinho at Tottenham. They're a bag of ****. It definitely won't work for Valerie at Barnsley. Take blinkers off n' get rid he's *****.
Got to agree Helen. Consolidation this season and next season is the time to push for top six with more Championship experience and still a young and hungry squad
The thing that worries me is what happens after Covid. I can well imagine our home crowds reaction to the kind of football we saw today. It won't be pretty.
We'll see. Feels a long way away and anything could happen by then. Feasibly we could never get to meet Val the way we've been getting through managers.
I can't identify with this team and head coach. I apologise for numbing the pain with alcohol but this is crap. If you went for a meal n' waiter wafted his knob in your face would you shut your eyes have a sniff n' give him a tip?
I didn't mind so much against Wycombe, but these last two games have been awful. Mindless head tennis, minimal football, no thought in our passes, slapdash attacking play, little in the way of entertainment. When the highlights are the refereeing decisions you know you've been watching a poor game.
Agree mate. I'm glad George is 15 month old and we're in lockdown because I won't subject him to that *****.
That's the best time to take him. Lite kids, are really annoying when you actually want to concentrate on the football and they're wanting the loo or a drink or for you to play with them!
I’m fairly happy with where we are. The cup wins broke up the defeats and we probably played better in the defeats than these 2 draws, so room for improvement against the teams around and below us. As much as I don’t expect to make the playoffs, they’re still in sight and as long as we keep it like that we’re having a good season. I’m not enamoured with the style of football in some games though, but as long as it gets us some results I’ll accept it.
