This is true, yesterday you could see woodrow throw his arms in the air in frustration when helik launched another aimless ball over his head...
Our deal only took Matty James into January. For us to have agreed him to stay longer would have meant us paying all his wage he is on at Leicester rather than a percentage of his wage which we were paying. We were talking about £25k to £30k a week.
They probably aren't. We only had agreed to a six months deal. Any longer would have triggered us paying all his wage.
With respect Jack is that a rule. Where do/you get that information from. Not something I’ve heard of before during loan deals. ?
Where did you get that information from? There's someone who works at the club who posts on here. He said the manager didn't want him.
Despite the five games without a win we're still only 6 points off the play-offs. Shouldn't we have gone for it?
I don’t think this is the case. We would have had to contribute more than the original six month loan, but there wasn’t an expectation we would take on his whole contract.
We will struggle if Jordan Williams is our leftwing back option. Our threat from the left hand side will diminish over night. Not good enough at this level, in my opinion of course.
Apologies. Covid has affected my memory from early January. Leicester city wanted us to contribute in excess of £10k per week to.keep Matty James NOT his full salary. The club felt it was still too much. Again I apologise for posting that inaccuracy.
We’re all allowed one! I just think there’s short memories on Williams and he was quickly developing in to one of our most important players pre-injury. I think how wonderful Brittain has been is getting some people to play down how good Williams also was - and how versatile. I think he’s massive for a club our size as can do a good job in so many positions. Plus he’s only 20 I think?
Don't think its a matter of short memories at all. Where some people thought that Williams was quickly developing others also thought he was a possible liability. In any one game he often showed both traits.
That’s was more down to who we’ve played recently. We only beat one top team while James was here which was Watford at home, the rest we lost with James in the side so I don’t think he would’ve made much of a difference. In the last two games we’ve had major refereeing decisions go against us. We should be won 2 lost 3 from the last 5. Scoring is an issue against the better sides but it was when James was here too.
