The cost of the new coach and his coaching team will be recouped by selling Woodrow in the next six to ten weeks.

January is key and realistically for myself and many Reds it’s make or break, I mean if the public don’t get what the public want , a good few will go underground!!!
If the policy doesn’t change I will most likely sack it off except big games, and not renew my season ticket which is unthinkable really.
Struber has a couple of months to try and get my mojo back , I’m not going to judge on yesterday too soon, once he’s had a few weeks in training and picks a correct team selection.

    Exactly.
Young players that are working their socks off.
We have a lot to be thankful for.
Just imagine a team of experienced older players that couldn’t give a damn.

Malik wilks, Dimitri cavare. Young and lazy

It isn't a case of young = hardworking and experienced = lazy it's a case of some players are and some aren't and our recent history is littered with examples of both young lazy players and experienced lazy players. Far more young ones than older actually.

Young players who were bone idle or at least didn't try their hardest for us in the last 5 years alone

I don't feel thankful. I feel fecking fed up travelling all over the country seeing the same thing. Mistake after mistake.

I'm not going to withdraw my support, but in terms of the amount of money it costs to watch a football team, there is absolutely nothing to feel thankful for.

Before you roll out Bury or Bolton. No one is asking the rich owners to bankrupt the club, just give us something worth watching, or drop the price until their alleged plan starts to bear some wins.

    Thankful - my arse!

Most people have already paid in full, so I'd say that won't happen.
I would think that any boycott would start next year when the club are 'rattling the tin' for next season's STs

If we go down, the club will probably bank on us expecting to come straight back up and renewing in decent numbers.

I reckon that if we didn't get back up, that's when there would be a real drop.

I think you'd have to look where our owners have already said no...
At prem loans.. young 'better' lads who are after games under their belt and experience coming back from injury.. just to give us a chance to stay in the league..
But they've already said no, like we've said..
So to get better in, in January is going to be awfully difficult. We are fighting with two hands tied..

But what good business people do is when they don't know enough about a subject is they hire somebody that does either to run things on their behalf or in a consultation role. This lot HAVEN'T they moved a CEO on who had a bit of knowledge to another part of their business and replaced him with somebody equally ignorant about English Championship football as they are. They've been here two years and continue to make the same mistakes it's almost like they are too arrogant to admit their wrong despite it being bloody obvious to pretty much anybody whose ever watched 22 blokes kick a bag of air around. They've been cut more slack than most boards have been at Oakwell when players have been sold people bought into the plan that was described to them but they are implementing the plan in a much more aggressive and inflexible way than they described originally so instead of one maybe two players a year sold its been 5 or 6 instead of allowing flexibility in recruitment to maintain a competitive squad they've stuck limpet like to the policy of only signing u23s and when told by the coaching staff this won't work they've binned the coaching staff. They have until January 31st to change things or we are in for a very bumpy ride.

But they've only made mistakes if their aim is to field a successful football team.

If it is to buy low value shares in cheap young footballers and cash in on those shares when they reach a higher value then they haven't made any mistakes. That's why they won't acknowledge them

Like I said Jan 31st will be a significant date for Barnsley FC. If the plans been tweeked to try and repair the damage inflicted on the balance and competitiveness of the squad then the board will have shown the want to build a successful team as well as a bank balance if it's carry on as before then they will have shown their only interest to be making money out of selling players and the competitiveness of the squad is immaterial. I personally think it's the second outcome but time will tell.

I think that’s a great idea. It will make my match day much better if there’s less moaners sat near me shouting classics like “sign some experience” outside the transfer window or “tha ***** Barnsley” at a team of young ens or my favourite of late “kick it”
