Simpson fight

That’s a real shame. That really added a bit of weight to the card.

 

I thought going to the sauna was a tried and tested way to make the weight.Is it a new change to the rules.?

 

What time is he expected to fight?

I reckon the only saunas in South Yorkshire are gay saunas and swingers clubs. I wonder which one he used?

They interviewed that Jeffers, asked him about the Barnsley crowd noise. He said I'm not bothered. In fact I hope they boo me. I'll be taking his (Callum's) titles off him soon enough.

 

Yet it was OK for Eubank to starve himself to make weight against Benn a few weeks ago.

 

Bit harder to regulate someomes eating habits than it is to ban the use of a sauna

Is it normal for the stadium or arena to be so empty during the earlier fights? I don't have much boxing knowledge

 

Yes. Pretty much. Unless the card is stacked. And obviously this isn’t, in the slightest. It’s all about Callum.

For comparison, when Billam-Smith fought at Bournemouth (whatever they call Dean Court now), it was the same. And again, that was all about him, the hometown hero.

These outdoor, summer stadium fights always look different until the main event (when it’s dark).

 

The crowd really don’t like the Lancastrian, do they? Chants of USA, USA in the last round and they were singing Only one Callum Simpson at the start as well. I think he’s going to get a hell of a welcome when he appears

 

Jeffers doesn't look particularly good.

 

Can't see Simpson wanting to bother with him, on this performance.
