I can’t help but think if I was Iranian that I would want my country to have a nuclear weapon.

North Korea’s got them & nobody’s attacked them. It’s a fantastic self defence mechanism.

It’s also a bit rich to worry about Iran possibly using one when we’ve got crackpots like Trump & Netanyahu who can push the button.

 

As a side issue this is yet another reason not to vote Labour again. Disgraceful complicity by Starmer and Lammy as it has been ever since Israel started murdering people in Gaza. Appalling. Makes me embarrassed to be associated with my government.

 

Starmer must be absolutely shitting himself that Trump might go all in on Iran and demand that we join them.

 

All he has to do is tell him that we're defending Europe now, seeing as the USA has decided they are no longer going to.

I’ve not said I want Iran to have one. I just can’t blame them for wanting one.

Which bit is propaganda? Genuine question mate. Id be shocked if the other middle Eastern nations don't produce their own nuclear weapons if Iran does.

I'm not convinced Iran does have any though. They have enriched uranium well over typical civilian nuclear purposes and its close to weapon grade. However, Trumps very own appointed Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, said herself Iran doesn't have nukes very recently.

I had very very little knowledge of anything in the middle east until October 7th, and I've changed my opinions on things a drastic number of times since that date. Israel has gone so far off whats acceptable, in fact they did that a while ago.

I personally do think its a genocide in Palestine. I dont get why we are funding both sides, yet again. Netanyahu is a war criminal. But I also don't think saying why shouldn't the ayatollah of Iran have nukes because Trump does. I think its obvious why. And even though I detest the man, I refuse to say he's like a Hitler or Mao - I just believe that's an insult to those millions who died under their cruelty.
