My Rugby league team Featherstone Rovers were always known as the Colliers but its just Rovers now or Fev.

I had a quick look through the old newspaper archives and from the early 20th c to the 1970's Reading were referred to as The Biscuitmen....after Huntley and Palmer, in its day the largest biscuit factory in the world.
