What I wanted was one, maybe two slightly older heads, with proper match experience and leadership skills, to supplement and complement the abundance of u23 signings. One like we got with Sollbauer (who og at Elland Road aside has strengthened our back line exponentially, and he’s not even that great a player). I hope that lesson has been learnt and that we move forward with the same basic method but with enough flexibility to give a player or two to the manager to offer some leadership and guile.
