Is "Young Boys of Bern" a more or less homo-erotic name for a football team than "All Boys" (Argentina), "Sport Boys" (Peru) or "Sexy-Pants" ("SexyPoxyt" - Finland)? Discuss.
Newell's Old Boys from Rosario is named after Isaac Newell from Kent who took football to Argentina All Boys from Buenos Aires are another team there to take an English name, as are Boca Juniors. I can't believe I forgot about the Bolivian entry, "The Strongest"
Argentina Division 2 isn't usually high up on the list of football highlights! Although just about every South American league (especially the fans) is mental.
Maybe I should have more knowledge as I keep in touch with a guy from Buenos Aries who supports a team called Platense who actually play in a brown kit. Got speaking to him via Facebook when he made it known that he chose Dundee United to support and he made the visit last year. Bit of a bigger trek than mine when I come down to Oakwell.
