Watching Yorkshire v Birmingham Bears on Sky. On track to win in the Vitality Blast game.
Birmingham need 108 from 6 overs. Plunkett just had their danger man Ian Bell caught.
    C'mon you Tykes.

Watching Yorkshire's batting was absolutely fantastic. I thought we were going to get 300 the way things were going, but it fell away towards the end.

No Joe Root but what a treat being in the ground seeing a master class in batting from Kane Williamson.

Anyone ever been under a massive, high six coming down in the crowd? I usually sit in the north east stand, upper tier and, until tonight, had never seen the ball come up there. So it was a bit of a shock when one came sailing my way and it's quite scary to see it coming down from outer space at great speed. Luckily it went about three rows behind me :)

TCC and Lyth won us the game with their opening partnership. Honourable mention to Rashid for his bowling. When he came out to bat he didn't get booed but barely got a few friendly claps off the crowd. Game in hand on teams below them, with second bottom to play next.

There were a few boos when his name was read out before the match started. Nothing too loud but it was there. His first ball duck was met with pretty much silence I would say.

Won back the fans with his bowling. What you think to Plunkett signing a three year deal with Surrey? I can see why Yorkshire didn't offer him a new deal. Brooks/Patterson are our first line county bowlers and Coad/Fisher can't have their development hindered. He's a bit injury prone and at 33 it's good we are looking to the future. Been a great servant for us though. In the same bracket as Sidebottom to win the county championship with different counties.

Sorry to see him go in a way but it’s time to make way for others coming through. He’s missed too many anyway with England calls and injuries.

Same feelings here. Probably a high earner, hopefully get a good replacement.

The money can go towards this rumoured interest in getting De Villiers next year as our overseas, which would be amazing, even if he only agrees to the 20/20.

Can someone with more Yorkshire cricket knowledge than myself explain why Tom Kohler-Cadmore and David Willey are not involved in county matches.

I think TKC might play Championship once it resumes. Willey just isn't seen as in our best 4 pace bowlers in 4-day games. Coad, Patterson (captain), Brooks and Bresnan all ahead of him, as possibly Plunkett would be.

Americanised bull twaddle. I went to see Yorkshire v Warwickshire last night and it was brilliant to watch. I don't need all the crapola that goes with these games!

Crapola indeed lol. Hey maybe its a good omen as well, Warwickshire wore the Oxford colours of yellow n navy blue, so hopefully we'll be knocking sixes out of them at Oakwell this time next week. :)

Yes I thought about the colours last night as well. 6-0 would be nice

I've just started to get the other half interested in cricket. we've been down to watch Kerry play the last two weekends and she likes it though that could be partly due to the picnic and g and t she necks while watching.
Anyway I was on youtube the other day pulling up cricket clips to show her and there was one of Chris Gayle getting 50 in 12 balls in the Australian big bash. I never got past the first two balls. It was just appalling, like a cross between darts and a boxing match entrance. All that was missing was smoke and scantily clad girls wandering up and down the wicket. Music blaring, commentators hyperbolising themselves into a froth and sloggit cricket. Desperate stuff.
