If Leeds get relegated from Premier league If Sheff Utd get pipped for promotion by Middlesbrough If Rotherham and Huddersfield manage to avoid relegation If Sheff Wed get promoted If Barnsley get promoted through the play offs
I can't see both Huddersfield and Rotherham staying up. One of them maybe, but not both. Cardiff have just won back to back games which is huge at this stage of the season. Birmingham currently going through their annual 2nd half of the season collapse, where they've just about scored enough points in the first half of the season to keep them up.
Or the opposite could happen where we stay in League One and have more long distance away games like Cardiff, Leyton Orient, Stevenage and Carlisle to visit.
The Smoggies are also a Yorkshire team. If Acklam Park was a good enough venue to stage home games for Yorkshire CCC then irrespective of government meddling in traditional county boundaries, Middlesbrough's in Yorkshire!
I'd rather have the long away trips. I hate derby matches. Extra games where a point is accepted before a balls kicked. Points lost every time. I think best seasons we've had we haven't had many derbies.
I like a derby but they get overhyped. Win and it is three points like in any other game. Lots of dated chanting from the stands. It must get boring for those who support London sides in the Premier League having a dozen derbies a season just in the league.
If Middlesbrough pip Sheff Utd? Wouldn’t make much difference to your scenario. Middlesbrough is in Yorkshire as well…
