I think these days “technically” means passing the ball between your back 4 and midfield in your own third/half of the pitch in order to boost possession stats.
The first part of that shows a tad of ignorance and arguably an arrogant view re: his own knowledge of every single team in the division
I had a few digs at the way we played last weekend but the tikki takka pass it around endlessly really DOES drive me insane. Football as a soporific. Just awful. Norwich did it in the cup, or tried to. Had 72% possession and were lucky not to have been beaten three or four nil.
You can’t just put our league position down to playing as a team and trying hard. Some fans think players can’t be good if they haven’t cost much, but surely must know that many of our low cost recruits are tomorrow’s transfer targets - look at Marc Roberts in Brums case. I’m not sure I’d swap any of our current lot for theirs. In terms of ability per pound spent, we wipe the floor with the whole division.
