    She didn’t do anything illegal, the person she was texting is 19. It wasn’t appropriate for her to be doing so as a police officer who was previously involved in a case with them which is why she was rightly sacked. I don’t see what other punishment she should have though.

    I don’t know. It seems to me that there should be some form of criminal charges brought against her, though. Sexually grooming a vulnerable individual while in a position of power.

    If she tried to groom me I think there's every chance I'd feel suicidal.

    But it's nice to feel wanted.

    A bloke who worked as a CPN for a trust I used to work for not so long ago gave a patient oral sex and got sent down for it. More severe, yes, but she'd have no doubt gone further if given the opportunity.

    I think she has got off very lightly considering her position of power and whilst it may not be illegal it should be. The victim has personality disorder for a reason - 99% of the time due to childhood trauma i.e abuse. It is disgusting that she's tried to take advantage of this girl.

    I would never dream of contacting any current or ex client of mine: they are vulnerable.
    A couple of my peers have lost their jobs for doing similar (one lost their pin number too).
    Nothing remotely criminal here though.
