....was excellent when he came on. I moan about him often enough so it's only fair to say he made the difference, including a magnificent defensive effort on one occasion too. As for the motm selection, Scowen was everywhere but not effectively so. Roberts for me. Villa had some tidy players, but we deserved something from that game. Their goalie is well dodgy.
Did he get jumped on by his team mates though? That tends to cut celebrations short. Or maybe he didn't like being dropped?
No he started to celebrate them seem to realise he didn't want to. Sam normally goes nuts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He certainly answered his critics tonight, me being one of them. We were hanging on by a thread and him coming on changed the game in our favour big time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Are you sure it's not because of the idiots that ran on the pitch? They cut the songs and cheering short as it turned to boos. Hope the guy who ran the full length of the pitch gets banned for life.
Never doubted Sam this season, just feel we have so many forwards who have their own differing strengths but all offer a decent threat. Think it's between him and Bradshaw for one shirt, and Armstrong and Watkins for the other.
No, it was a guy in a green top. Just half ran along with his arms open towards Villa fans, I was annoyed at him until he was getting closer and then I wanted to see what happened! Weird that police didn't get involved as they were there all match near Villa fans.
He definitely didn't celebrate also didn't come over to applaud the fans at the end of the game. Presume he's pissed off with the stick he's been getting on social media this last couple of weeks after what he did for us last season. Thought he was excellent when he came on besides his goal his link up play was good and he made a lung busting run to stop a Villa attack when Kent seemed to have switched off and left Kpekawa on his own.
I hope he is too. Fairplay to the steward who finally caught him and got swung at by the lad in question whilst the police who are properly trained for this kind of thing and earn a much better hourly rate left it to him.
The lad actually tried to smack the steward it was ridiculous he should never be allowed in a football ground again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
