Just watched his post match interview and it's good to know that he saw the game exactly as we did. No excuses, just honesty. Says he didn't see such a poor performance coming, that it's a tough league and we have to win our individual battles and also how Dougal is now injured because the referee allowed their players to kick lumps out of him. Also that we only showed belief for first 10 minutes after half time. Can't do much about officials, but hopefully last night was as bad as it gets performance wise and he and Stendel can get them back on track.
Have to say, the new coaching team are a class act in that regard. Respectful, honest, seem to be fair and don't duck questions. Fair play to them.
Agree. Great interview under the circumstances. And importantly an interview that will rally the players and the fans.
I like Winkler. Get the impression he's the brains and Stendel the passion. In a way I'm not upset that Daniel got sent off last night for that very reason.
Said the same to my Dad when we got back in car after game and watched Winkler's interview. Very honest. Many a former manager would have skirted around a lot of those questions like a politician. Makes for an interesting post-match interview for a change and as you say, even better that he saw it like we did.
