I don’t understand how their players aren’t free to speak to other clubs. Getting paid late, so often, must be a breach of contract

I used to feel same way about them, and every other club in their position, but way they speak to us as a fan base is ridiculous. As though it was our faults. Yes they're suffering now with point deductions and falling through leagues often. But they also benefitted and gloated when they were rising through leagues spending money they didn't have. Theres a section of our fan base what just expect money pumped in, but there's a lot more who are realistic and understand that we can't - that doesn't seem to he the case for a lot of Wigan fans
I know folk are saying fans slag us off…but I’m guessing it’s just a small minority, we do exactly the same with them, we have a go at other clubs all the time, I still wouldn’t want to see a football club go to the wall,
BTW. My comment above - i don't want to see them go under either mate. Wouldnt wish that on any genuine fan because I can only imagine what I'd be like if we didn't exist anymore. Wouldnt mind them dropping down a few more leagues though, hopefully to where they were pre-moneyman
Vast majority of their fans jumped on board when Whelan started spending money. I’d say the original fans are more bearable, but even they choose to believe that Whelan saved them but the rest was purely down to hard work.
I really dislike their fans. Not quite as bad as Bolton, but not far behind The gloated whilst they spent their way to the FA Cup and Europe, all the while bankrolled by a sugar daddy. They then tried to exist thinking they still had a sugar daddy, spending money they don't have. And have carried on likewise, despite multiple warnings and deductions. Pheck 'em. If I was going to feel sorry for any fans, it would be Bury. No delusions of grandeur yet shat on. And whilst I am that way out, Salford can pho0k off too. And Newport.
