Waxing lyrical about their new ownership.

Fair. They’d have been worried. I didn’t want to see the club fold.

    But…

Excited that he’s a ‘billionaire’ and that they can now ‘attack league one at the first attempt and blow the rest out of the water’, hoping that they will soon ‘make a couple of marquee signings’ after ‘retaining all of the better players and just sorting out the high wage deadwood’

They never ever ******* learn at that club do they? Some of them don’t anyway.

Hopefully this fella is actually sensible and goes about it properly as the actual real fans there don’t deserve the club to go under - but you do wonder where this ends up, again. Billionaires, even alleged ones, don’t like to become millionaires, and Wigan Athletic seems like a perfect opportunity to lose several million a year until he’s had enough and the proverbial rug is pulled. Again.

Exactly my point when fans say 'its not our fault, its the owners fault, we are just the ones suffering'... They just never learn. You have to take the lows if you're extremely willing to take the highs.

    I agree.
It worked out well with our "billionaires" didn't it?!

People were the same when chien took over getting excited about the billionaire tag. Although wigans new owner is a local billionaire. All depends how much or little they invest.

Hasn't this new owner also a rugby team to run?
Like it or not they are rugby town and I'm sure his priority will be this over footy.
Good luck to them but they really do need a reality check regarding their spending.

Has a small stake in it (rumoured to be around £2.5m) but not an owner as in this sense.
