Why isn't there a thread on here about Norwood's goal?

It's the coolest thing I've seen for years. It's John Hendrie cool. It's amazing. And Cole's contribution to that goal is also fantastic.

I'm not shy about venting my stupid spleen when I think things are wrong, but what we're doing at the moment is pretty bloody special and it doesn't seem to be getting much recognition. Benson's goal, and Norwood's goal and Cole's set-up for Norwood's goal and then to grab a goal himself is out of this world. It's Redfearn, Aylott, Glavin, Hignett, Ward, Hourihane kind of stuff. As good as I've ever seen from a Barnsley team. And there doesn't seem to be much excitement about it. What we're doing on the pitch right now, considering the financial constraints we're working under, is astonishing.

I love this Jay, and I really enjoy you on this forum. But what drives me mental, is every single player getting huge credit today has had dogs abuse in the past.

It's very hollow seeing people praise Benson/Kane/Norwood/Cole who previously said they weren't fit to wear the shirt and will probably say the same again next week if we lose.

We have one job as fans - supporting the fecking team through good and bad. I hate the cùnts who only support through good.

Totally agree. Will expand on the morning. A bit pissed now, so typing is a bit of a trial. You Reds!

Agree with all of that. A special mention to Edwards too, who I thought was outstanding. That goal saving tackle in the first half was as good as a goal. Cundy also impressed me. Anderson faultless. Jordan Williams best game of the season so far.

I think the most exciting thing is that there’s more to come with them, you can just tell.

Philips looks a real prospect too.

Add a Derrick Parker back-heel to that list Jay.

Have a look at my report, paragraph 3. I hope my description of Norwood’s goal did it some justice. All three were outstanding goals and I think my words reflected that.

On the field these are very exciting times.
Our Manager is the best we've had since Wilson.
He's forming a cohesive, bonded talented group of players. If we can keep MD we will get promoted.
Down to earth, no nonsense, won't stand for any players who won't put in 100%.
As for the Benson goal. We won't see much better. As you say, Norwoods back heel was pure Hendryesque.
    V exciting times

My biggest worry at the minute would be when a championship manager vacancy pops up it’s going to be inevitable that he gets linked to it but hopefully by then he’s got us back in the championship at least.

Said this on the way out. Don't think MD has got us out of 1st gear yet and when he does it's going to be special

I like the fact after the cool finish the first thing norwood did was point at cole and acknowledge his contribution to the goal similar to when cole scored and williams put it on a plate for him. Looks like a good togetherness always good to see.
Edwards had a good game but there winger on loan from palace gave him a tough game 1st half.

...also think Thomas' press has gone unnoticed which resulted in the ball going to Cole for his run and assist. I'm not Thomas' biggest fan as his final ball and choices are usually poor but his workrate and pressing this season have been impressive.

Coles footwork for that second goal was insane, the highlights don’t do it justice as the camera is behind him and too far away but from the Ponty it looked like the ball was glued to his boots, and then Norwood dose this cheeky flick, a perfect goal. When was the last time we had 2 strikers work that well together, it’s been ages.
