Whilst reading about the sad death of a Thurnscoe man I was shocked

RIP to Kevin by the way. Absolutely terrible and thoughts are obviously with his friends and family.

But whilst that in itself is horrible and I wouldn't wish it on anybody what really shocked me was seeing that people have raised money for his wife to give her the £300 needed to get tested for coronavirus so she doesn't have to be alone and can be with loved ones.

    Two things from that.
Firstly why the hell, when tests are in such short supply, can people pay to be tested? EVERY possible test should go to those who needs it not those who can afford it. Tests shouldn't be sat around waiting for the rich to pay for them, they should be being used.
And secondly I think that family members who share a house with a victim should 100% be given a test free of charge. Regardless of whether it's the right thing to do or not or morally right or wrong (it is right and moral by the way) purely for their mental health it has to be done. Being forced to stay away from loved ones and forced to sit grieving on your own is so damaging to mental health that it's unbelievable.

That absolutely scandalous, Fast -Track tests for those that can afford it. We shouldn’t be surprised though should we.
    RIP Kevin

Many private medical companies are doing this at a cost of £275-£300. 4 weeks ago they were around £150.

In America Trump has invoked a law that allows him to force companies to work for the government. Don't we have anything like that here?

Force the ******* to provide testing rather than allowing them to profit from it
