The football world definitely needs a shake up. Not least The F.A.

    That said......
I would quite like to see
    "Exposing the Exposers"

Because the Journos are as immoral and corrupt as anyone in all this. It's ironic that they're taking the moral high ground, using underhand tactics. Two professions colliding with the combined moral value of 0.

If anyone from the Sun takes part in this then that makes it more of moral value of -100 but yeah I agree I have no respect for either, journalists or people that drag football through the mud

Its clear that most people in this game think if its legal then its their right to do. The Ethical / Moral position doest count.

Nothing wrong with investigative journalism. If it wasn't for these kinds of stings then we'd probably never find out about corruption. It might be a little underhanded, maybe even immoral but in most cases the ends justify the means. In my opinion anyway.

There's alot wrong with it when it goes too far. The Millie Dowler case, for example. Plenty of others.

I agree about cases like Millie Dowler but they are on a completely different moral compass to stinging greedy and corrupt people. While the way they acted with Mille was deplorable I believe that exposing cheats, whether it be in football or within politics, is completely justifiable.

So do I. I just think that the people who are doing the exposure are probably of the same moral fibre.

    slightly O/T -
Why did the agents Price and Pagliara together with Telegraph undercover reporter decide to target Wright? Wright is assistant coach, were it not for the Allardyce business Wright wouldn't have got mentioned in the national news. Barnsley F C doesn't appear high up on many people's radar, Wright is unknown outside Barnsley. Was Wright a stepping stone to someone else?

Was the main target Patrick Cryne?

Re: Whilst I'm happy that some sleazy folks in football are being brought to task ...

I doubt it. Tommy wright was targeted throughout the first meetings where Patrick cryne wasn't involved at all. The fact that the undercover reporters hid the identity of the match fixer because they believed Patrick cryne would want no involvement if he knew about it suggests that the telegraph didn't believe cryne to be involved

But why did they target an assistant manager at a relatively small club?

Wright was a small fish - and £5K isn't exactly mega-bucks in the corrupt world of football.

The amount that they felt they needed to pay him isn't relevant, he wasn't 'targeted' like an innocent victim.

England manager, harry redknapp, Leeds united owner, Barnsley assistant, Southampton assistant, qpr manager, Belgian division 2 chairman.

Tommy wright wasn't targeted. Corruption was targeted

The answer is obvious. They targeted the people who they knew would be partial to a back hander.
