    I noticed that. Can't really grumble if that's the case, considering what we probably paid for him, and his performances on the pitch while here. A fantastic signing. Great value in every sense.

    4 million for a league one defender with one year left is good money. Not many at this level will have ever gone for that in his position especially.

    I loved Mads but £4 million for a league 1 defender in the last year of his contract? I’d say we’ve got a great price there.

    They should get praise for that, they get plenty of stick for imaginary figures what get lumped around on twitter whenever we sell anyone - only fair.

    So we get £4 mill, and spend 4 quid on a replacement for him lol.
    Its a brilliant amount, if we did get that and Mads is worth it to be honest.

    A lot of clubs these days do it in block payments, especially higher up in the leagues. I.e say we're guaranteed 4 million for Mads, we may get 1 mill up front. 2 month later another mill. 6 month later the last 2 mill. Not saying this is what happened, but seen interviews with former owners/ceo's who mention it being like this. Might have something to do with FFP higher up in leagues, not sure mate.
