Wow!! Showed that to my wife (who hates football) and even she said it was "very clever" and appreciates the "brilliance of the little flick or whatever.!!!..."

If that had been Rooney, Messi, or Champions League/Premiership it would be on the front of the football pages and replayed over and over again. First the defender got done for pace, then strength and the flick completed the embarassment. No wonder the defender threw up his hands when the ball curled into the net.

Completely did Alex Baptiste (who had a great game) and slots it straight into the corner, although Lindegaard should've been positioned better.

I wanted us to sign Armstrong, looks really decent. Young, quick, good eye for goal.

As much as Conor is God, the Armstrong goal even beats his QPR effort as our goal of the season so far. Totally agree that if it had been Messi/Ronaldo the goal would have been shown a million times by now. One goal that shows he can use both feet. Scoring the winner on debut puts him on a par now with the likes of Nards vs Blackpool, Hignett vs Huddersfield ect.

I agree but I think they said on 'Football on 5' that he's just signed a 4 year deal at Newcastle so it will take some doing for us to sign him permanently.

If we are still challenging come January then I can't see Newcastle extending the loan either. They probably thought when they loaned him to us that we wouldn't be a rival to them.

Still, lets enjoy what we have for the moment. :)

    That is correct.

Grayson said in an interview last week that he wanted to sign Armstrong on loan, but Newcastle made it clear that they would only loan him to a side that had just been promoted from L1, so Barnsley, Burton or Wigan.

So yeah, if you do keep this current run of form up they'll probably take him back in January, but yeah enjoy him while you've got him, looks a class act.
