Obviously watching Barnsley..........but kept an eye on the Coventry players as mi work mate is a huge Cov fan (cos he's from there).

Coventry had set off like a train at the beginning of last season - and it was all built on the SPEED and subsequent finishing of Adam Armstrong.

When they played at Barnsley as soon as their midfield picked the ball up they were looking to thread it through for Armstrong.

It showed the quality of Hecky as a manager during that match because as the Coventry players got the ball the Barnsley back 4 and especially Mawson turned sideways and were looking and ready to cover the space at the back of them expecting runs through the defence by Armstrong.
Barnsley nullified that threat - and Coventry didn't have a plan B.

So basically what we have got with Armstrong...........is a lightning fast striker..........who can finish when put through on goal.
Much quicker than Winnall and Bradshaw.
A different type of player than what we have at the club at the moment.

Really weird account and way of saying you were at the Coventry game. In all this time I still can't figure out if you're a master wum or got a few screws loose.

Just saying things how I see things - that's after having long conversations about Coventry and Armstrong with the guy I work with

But since I posted the initial thread I see there's a video clip on the official site that sort of reinforces what I've tried to do here in explaining Armstrongs strengths

And as for Dusthaknow and the like - I've no need to try and act clever on this message board - it's just a means of throwing thoughts onto the screen

You didn't go and watch Coventry at Barnsley, you went to watch Barnsley at home to Coventry. At least, that's what a Barnsley fan would've been doing.
