Well, that was one shocking first half

From my comfy chair it's hard to stay awake watching it. The quality of football is just appalling, from us that is. They are not much better but are opening us up at will and it is amazing that we are only 2-0 down. If we can somehow get a quick goal in the second half things might change but, as it stands, we are heading for a second successive defeat.

There is no one in a red shirt playing to any kind of standard, Passes are going astray at will, and that shocker from Pinnock nearly gifted them a third goal. I like Ethan, and I think he has a good future in the game, but he is SO one footed. He is a left footer playing on the right, as we have seen all season, and it's just hampering him. You can see that every time he makes an interception he is incapable of playing the ball quickly and accurately with his right foot. It therefore slows him down having to switch the ball to his other side and, of course, he is getting caught out like the rest of the defence.

Shrewsbury are quick and more than willing to shoot from distance, but they are also wasteful. That shows us why they are near the bottom but get it right and they will shoot up the table. On the evidence of last Saturday and tonight though we are heading the other way. It's just baffling me that a team that looked so good a couple of weeks ago are putting in this kind of performance. I really hope we come out all guns blazing after the break but I'm afraid it might just be one of those nights.

We can't even fall back on the old statistic of 20 shots on target and only one goal. Tonight we have created nothing. Hoping for a big improvement with my second half cup of tea and chocolate biscuit. We really can't play worse than that.......can we?

Wish I was in my comfy chair not sat in bloody Shrewsbury watching this utter dross. Shrewsbury being my second team I can’t believe how much better than us they are tonight. They are bullying us. Not a single player has any modicum of leadership. This Shrewsbury team are woeful. And we make them look like Real Madrid.

Painful. And worrying.

 

and now after a flash in the pan its also turning into a dire second half.... expect ale house L1 fare again next season..... nailed on.
