I know it's only 3 games in but we'll be there or there abouts come may & I know we need to strengthen. U blummin redz.
When injuries and suspensions start kicking in - which one part of that’s already started our squad depth is going to be highlighted. Some work to do before the window closes.
Come on, it's getting a bit silly blaming the referees for everything, I think it's an early learning curve for our players not to be so naive and put the referees in a position where they have to make a decision. Great start with 7/9 and in my opinion we'd have won today's game had we kept 11 players on the pitch but we need to learn and fast otherwise it will cost us in the long run.
3 or 4 players by the end of the transfer window with no major sales and I'll agree. At the moment we can't buy a clean sheet, struggle to keep 11 on the pitch and are suspensions/injuries away from being very light.
No, what's getting silly is the ever poorer standard of referees in this league. It's ruining the competition. Yes, we would've won if we'd had 11 players, and the officials knew it. Whether it's bigger club bias or not, I don't know, but it needs to stop before it becomes a farce.
Devil's advocate.. So the reality of our pretty team, 2 shots on target in 90 mins today. only 1 the other night vs Fleetwood. 4 games in and still no clean sheet.. But we look good out wide so not to worry.. As you were..
Would agree but not sure what Jack Shepherd could have done to avoid either booking at Plymouth tbh. Thing that annoyed me more about today’s game once a ref decides a foul and a yellow is sufficient to punish one team but then totally overlooks the same situation for another that’s when it becomes really frustrating, There needs to more accountability for refs and their decisions tbh.
Bang on. It's not even inconsistency over different games, it's within the same match but different coloured shirts. I get it's one of the hardest jobs in football to referee a match, but if you're going to commit to punishing one incident, you simply can't overlook the same one 15 minutes later.
It's a Barnsley mentality that everyone is against us and we're always hard done by. There's been some poor decisions but it's not ruining the competition as you state. We need to take responsibility and own it. FWIW I thought the first yellow was harsh but not the second. However, let's be reight, we shouldn't have even been in that position as it was naïve of the coaching team to not to replace him at him HT. We shouldn't be putting ourselves in a situation where the referee has to make a decision. Fingers crossed we learn fast otherwise it will cost us in the long run. But all in all a great start to the season.
But as mentioned previously, Shepherd could not have done anything else to avoid 2 yellows. Both were shocking decisions. In regards to everyone being against us, every clubs fans think the same thing. I dont agree referees are corrupt or bias (consciously), because every club complains. Arsenal get away with murder but they're adamant the refs are out to get them. They're just incompetent, especially this low down in the leagues. It does feel every week it happens though, the inconsistencies are mental. Linesmen also need more ******- I've seen many a times they don't like making a decision without seeing what ref does first, or just change their mind instantly when referee gives a different judgement instead of actually discussing it with the ref, let alone saying he's wrong
Agree with all of that except I'm certain that at least one of two referees will be being bribed. Club owners are prepared to break rules and laws to get success, I'm sure that bribing a ref isn't against their moral code and just look at cootes. Recorded planning to book a player for financial gain
Conor said pretty much exactly the same. Sounds to me like any player that doesn't learn won't be selected.
