In comparison with what, this time last year or earlier home performances?

In comparison with average teams in this division who won't get relegated.

We were much better than we have been recently. There is still a lot of room for improvement but we look to be heading in the right direction.

    Boring football

Backwards passes majority of the time

When we do pass forwards it’s long ball
To Bradshaw to try and flick on to himself

What we are seeing is the culmination of the ‘plan’ when it’s administered poorly.

An upward change in our financial position came in the nick of time imho

    I agree in part.

I thought we looked more composed on the ball than in previous games, much fewer aimless balls out of play and short passes going astray, and we actually tried putting balls into the box instead of keeping hold of it until inevitably getting tackled/going back toward our own goal. Gardner and Mallan were more conspicuous than our central midfield has been in previous games, our defence was solid bar a few hairy moments in the first half (they had virtually no problems second half) and Isgrove provided some much-needed drive down the left wing.

However, we failed to score again and that's the fourth home game in a row firing blanks. 3 goals in 9 games I think I read yesterday. We are way too slow at playing the ball up the field, our lone striker Bradshaw didn't have a shot all game because the service to him was non-existent, and although we got balls into the box they were often poor, hitting the first defender or flying miles over everyone out of play. Hammill was especially guilty of this - he's still got the flair but his end product hasn't been good enough this calendar year. Our first shots on target came around the 85th minute. We desperately need to work on our forward play as we won't score another 10 this season the way things are going.

It was dire and boring though a slight improvement over recent weeks.

Just imagine if it had come a year ago though. No exaggeration to say we'd now be challenging for automatic promotion.

I enjoyed the game yesterday but we won't score with Tap in Tom upfront on his own, not enough tap in opportunities he's done well to get what he has up to now.

It was as good a performance as can be expected from our squad at this current time. We need signings and quick - a left back 1 defensive mid, a centre mid and 2 strikers.

I thought the work rate was up on previous home games and we showed some attacking intent. Unfortuanley we still have the same players so we lack quality. In possession we often look like we are just moving the ball around hoping something will happen rather than trying to make something happen.

Get back to bed and set the alarm clock for February.

There were definitely some green shoots yesterday: clean sheet, an improved midfield, some excellent individual performances from Pinnock and Isgrove, and a promising debut from Mallan who could well be a future fan favourite.

Obviously we don't have enough quality/strength in the middle to allow us to play 442 yet, and we have to start scoring and winning games, but for me that was a step forward.

It wasn't great the main concerns were poor communication between players, giving the ball away cheaply (Williams and fryers mainly) Lindsays HOOF either went straight to their keeper or uptop for Bradshaw to flick on to himself.
*note to hecky if we are going to play long ball why not give Angus ago uptop instead of Bradshaw and have some purpose in it. I have seen so many post these past few week about how many Sam winnall would score in our team yesterday tom Bradshaw didn't get one ball to his feet the service to him was awful at best winnall would be throwing toys out of cot if he was here now with that service.
Our best chances were a well waited through ball from Andy yiadom and what looked like a clear pen and solo efforts from mallen and Barnes. But a draw was a fair result.
