I though LK had a great game today and has made steady improvement throughout this season. Again his tackling was excellent following from the one in front of the West Stand vs Derby.
It sure has. But, for me, his biggest improvement is his passing. He used to love attempting a sublime 60 yard cross field pass, most of which ended up in the stand. But this last few months, he seems to be picking out Jordan Williams’ runs with pinpoint accuracy. Or firing one straight down the line for Cole or Norwood to battle for. I think we have a young Beckenbauer on our hands, here.
Kitching is a lot more composed these days, clearly Duff is having a positive influence on Kitch, & he’s more disciplined which was always a problem with Kitch’s game
Let's not forget that Kitching was targeted by the recruitment team as one of our promising players from lower division prospects with a view to development and resale. It's looking like they were right despite the usual "won a raffle to play" type comments on here.
Think he'll carry on improving next season in the championship, needed this season in league 1 imo to make those adjustments to his game.
Psycho Maldini All the best bits of Stuart Pearce and the AC Milan legend rolled up into one cute and cuddly Barnsley left sided defender Mads' heir apparent.
Had a very good game. Still scares the life out of me that he’s going to get sent off every game, talk about playing on the edge . Really good balance to the side at the minute.
Kitch. Top player who is developing into a cracking defender. I love ho passion and the fact that he never ever sh1ts out of a tackle. Another one who has had many critics but ye love the psych maldini reference. kitch is a top defender. his passion is unquestionable and the lad never ever sh1ts out of a tackle. I'd want him in the trenches with me. he's yet another player from this group who, despite the stick he has received, has, yet again shown that patience with young developing players us absolutely key. Patience.
I think you're right. In fairness we all know they get things wrong. They can't be perfect. But looking at Kitching, Cadden, Phlllips and Connell. Good buys they're turning out to be.
I obviously don't mind people's opinions, what does my head in how quickly they form said opinion. And some people just hate being wrong that they'll refuse to change their opinion
Actually, my favourite contribution from Liam, was when he picked up the loose ball and drove at them at pace before playing the perfect pass to Thomas in the 90th minute when nobody would have complained if he'd hoofed it into row Z.
Well picked out, I thought the same. Indicative of the team's spirit - and I have feeling that goal difference could matter at the end of the season we always need to be looking for the goals.
