    ...if the first bid matches his release clause, which if it exists (and I'd wager it did) would have been penned in by the old regime. If this is the situation, there is literally nothing the new board could have done once Brentford offered him silly wages we can't afford.

    Frustrating but I don't think the new board have done much wrong here.

    If that’s the case then why have the club not mentioned it? Given it was done by the previous regime they could then blame the whole thing on them. Like it or not they’ve just cashed in while they can. Plus ca change as some foreigners say...

    Good point. But they could have made him see out his contract. So they cashed in and took the money.

    Trouble with that is we end up with a less than hundred per cent committed player not wanting to get injured , no money or player after twelve months .
    I’ve not posted much but but seeing some of the reactions are ott imo .
    I’d be more disappointed if we weren’t getting offers as we’d have al sh it players .
    I though he was outstanding in div three he may be decent in championship but as long as we replace him with a committed player with potential I’m ok with that .
    I’ve bought in to the plan though so I’m at ease.
