Enjoying the MKDons v Wycombe game. What does everyone think of the quality because I can’t make my mind up? Reds interest with Josh and McCarthy as well.
Decent match with a sprinkling of quality. Just thinking we are a fair way behind both of these teams IMO, so without some shrewd recruitment, it will be a tough season next time as well.
MK have some quality youngsters. Twine looks a real player. Sure we were linked with him after he left Swindon last summer. At least we managed to sign Josh Benson….
I don’t think the quality is better. We’d lose the midfield battle as we haven’t had one for 12 months, but Woodrow and Morris would give these defences nightmares, and our regular defence of Kitching, Helik and Madds wouldn’t struggle that much. Frustratingly, that’s not the Barnsley XI we’ll have next season so we don’t really have anything to compare it to that’s realistic for the future. Good game to watch.
At L1 level a lot of success seems to come down to solid organisation and discipline with a bit of added quality. We're nowhere near these teams without a major overhaul.
