Play both games at home , Wednesday and Sunday , so why can't Davies play for us on Saturday if he is only on the bench for Wales ?

If it wasn't a option when we had no keeper i cant see it being one now.

Let’s be honest if Adam wanted to be here he would have made the case to Wales. He hasn’t and won’t be which is shame considering the remarkable record of clean-sheets we are racking up.

I suppose it is possible that the Welsh FA wouldn't countenance that idea. I can't blame Davies for wanting to keep himself in the international picture however I'd imagine that if it was possible for him to play for us inbetween the Wales games he would.

All that would take his him telling us that. He’s clearly happy to go off with this Wales camp despite never being seriously considered. If he doesn’t get a move to a bigger side this season he will never be involved in the Wales team, other than making up the squad.

And what’s wrong with that? You talk about it like it’s a negative.

As a footballer of that age it must be a dream to be called up to represent your country and train with Gareth Bale and be managed by Ryan Giggs.

Davies is a Welsh as me. That's one silly rule I'd ditch.

That's true. It's a shame he would rather be the back up keeper to the back up keeper this weekend, instead of helping the club that pays his salary, but it is what it is unfortunately.

Never said there’s anything wrong with it. That’s his personal choice. If there’s any chance of him playing it will be against Trinidad & Tobago on Weds night in Wrexham.

I’m not sure where he is in the pecking order but I’m guessing 3rd or 4th choice.

Interestingly found this article on bbc website running through the squad.

Odd that both goalkeepers in premier don’t play all too often, which just shows you his only chance of getting in his getting on the bench of a premier league side.

    Goalkeepers

    WAYNE HENNESSEY

The Crystal Palace man made his first Premier League appearance in seven weeks against Burnley earlier this month but was not even on the bench in their next game. Wales' number one has played 20 club games this season.

    Is he a regular? No.

    Wayne Hennessey
Wayne Hennessey has played 18 Premier League games this season

    DANNY WARD

Ward has played five cup games for Leicester since joining the Foxes from Liverpool last summer. His most recent appearance was in the FA Cup loss to Newport County in early January.

    Is he a regular? No.

    ADAM DAVIES

The 26-year-old is firmly established as Barnsley's first-choice keeper, having made 40 appearances for the League One promotion hopefuls this season.

    Is he a regular? Yes.

    CHRIS MAXWELL

The former Wrexham man joined Charlton on loan in January after losing his place in the Preston side, but is yet to feature for the London club. Maxwell made 11 appearances for Preston earlier this season.

    Is he a regular? No.
