Not born for another 6 years when this happened but enjoyed watching this.

Route 1 at its best for Rileys goal.

Thanks for posting that, mate. It brought back happy memories. Certainly doesn't feel like 37 years ago.

I was there, good to see that again, cheers.

A 'number 10' breaking from midfield after creating space for the move.

But yeah, modern coaching invented that role.

Standing areas behind both goals, but standing behind high FENCES. Football was rubbish then wasn't it?

Great run from Mike Lester, very much an unsung hero, scored a screamer at Ayersome Park in the FA Cup 3rd round - lost 2-1 but outplayed them from 20 minutes on (1st Division against 3rd). Didn't make it to the Wednesday game, but was at Oakwell when they beat us 3-0 at the start of 79/80 season.

That was my first visit to Hillsborough, I didn't go again until the late 80s, and didn't see us win there again until the 1-0 win when Campbell Rice scored.

    Proper bogey ground!

Only seen us win there once

1983, Glavin came on as sub 20 minutes from the end, scored with almost his first touch. What a player.

I was in the Leppings Lane end dodging coins for 90 minutes....

I was massively disappointed that Glav was only sub, the Wendy fans were probably delighted. He showed us why we were all right....
