I filmed this from the North Stand last night, in an attempt to try to capture the atmosphere of the pre-match build up. Its quite long (6 minutes) but covers from when the Rocky music started through to the final welcome of VI before kick-off. It's taken from my phone, so the quality isn't great, but it hopefully conveys a bit of the atmosphere that 4,500 fans managed to generate. There was a noticeable response from people when Cocoon started playing. It may be cheesey, but its our cheese, and we've clearly missed hearing it live!
Spine tingling. I hope to god the rest of us get to experience that with a full house in August, no matter what division we are in.
Nearly bit through my tongue at that point last night in an effort to stop blubbing like a bairn. Had to do the same again just now. Was just to your left. Deafening in the North Stand.
If we had the numbers (through demand and being allowed), and if the powers that be allowed it too, I'd be inclined to look at turning the North Stand into another home area. Stick away fans in the west stand instead.
It has the best acoustics in the ground, based on last night's experience. I think having home fans in it would be great for the atmosphere.
