I don’t wanna be that miserable guy. But I would’ve preferred him to go to league 2 and get a solid amount of games under his belt. Really hope I’m proven wrong but I don’t even think he’s up to league 1 standard yet. Only my opinion of course.
Obviously nowhere near ready for the Championship. Being brutally honest, I don't think he'll ever score goals regularly above League 2 level. Really hope I'm proved wrong on this one.
Hopefully he ll get game time. Strikers thrive on confidence and hopefully he'll be able to get some goals.
Wouldn’t have got our winner away at Walsall without him. Best of luck to the lad. Championship is too big of a step up. Hope he enjoys this season at Bristol.
Think he’ll do well at Rovers. He’ll get the game time that we couldn’t give his last season, with a team that are very unlikely to be pushing the top half of the table.
Definitely mate. Some players are real late developers - Ian Wright and Jamie Vardy being two obvious examples. I'll be absolutely delighted if Victor ends up being a prolific goalscorer, with us or anyone else. He seems like a really decent lad, and as @Menai Tyke mentions, he made an immense contribution at Walsall. If we hadn't grabbed that late winner, who knows how the season would have panned out.
Yeah cant write him off at 20/21 lyle Taylor is 29 and apart from last season the rest of his career has been abit meh. Hope he gets regular game time at bristol does well.
Good luck to him. Hopefully he'll get off to a decent start, and will be made to feel valued by the club and fans there.
Nobody can really write him off - he simply hasn't had the game time. Sure, he hasn't pulled up any trees, but his substitute appearances have been so sparse that it's difficult to judge. It's a real sink or swim season for him. I hope he hits the ground running and scores 20 for the season. He can then hopefully come back with us and push for a first team place. Good luck Victor.
