That's Val's reasoning. He's happy anybody can come in and do just as good a job. That's a good boost of confidence for the players coming as well as those being rotated.
Good to hear. Our system requires incredible fitness and if we didn't do this there'd be a massive danger of burnout in the next few months.
Great we have so many options - anyone who is picked knows their job and what is expected of them. Down to the coach and willingness of players to respond to the coach. He seems to have the players on his side - Cauley didn't look happy at all last season.
It reminds me of Bassett in 2000 when he rotated Sheron, Shipperley, Dyer and Hristov and Van De Laan, Thomas and Tinkler in the middle. Evem Hignett wasn't guaranteed a start back then. Eaden was in and out for Curtis. There was only Barnard and Miller that played every week as Chettle and Morgan interchanged with Brown and Tuttle.
Like to see the rotation and believe it is needed with an heavy fixture list and game time for some proving to increase their confidence and are now showing more of being a first team squad player and not just making up the numbers. The Big Man has got this spot on for me.
I used to like reading the YP but now it's so infested with ads that move about as the javascript inserts them into the DOM that has become impossible to read without constantly scrolling up and down. If they think that it will force me to subscribe they can think again.
Me too - drives me mad. They are all at it and some are difficult to close down. I make a point of not even looking at the ads so their in your face marketing is wasted on me.
Does that mean we'll have Helik, Anderson and Sibbick up front? And Morris, Chaplin and Dike at the back?
We're only another CM off from being able to name two 11s, maybe we should try and clone Callum Styles. Collins / Walton Sollbauer / Sibbick Helik / Halme Andersen / Kitching Brittain / Williams Styles / Odour Mowatt / ? Palmer / Kane Chaplin / Frieser Woodrow / Dike Morris / Adeboyejo
It sounds great, but when I read this earlier I did think that it feels really odd that we've left ourselves surprisingly short in central midfield! I wonder if/when we'll try Styles there.
Big Val just talks sense. His style of football isn't ground-breaking it's simply based on the press and percentages and winning football games. The players are happy and singing off the same hymn sheet which is massive.
