... would we have sold Winnall and Hourihane the summer after we were promoted? And if so do you think we would have stayed up? We must be confident in our recruitment, because selling both CBs and replacing them with 21 year olds is a brave move. Our recent signings have been outstanding, so I'm hopeful but still nervous...
Yes at that stage they would have sold Winnall and Hourihane and furthermore sold ALL the rest of the players with only 6 months left on their contract. But that’s NOT the point is it !?!?! The trajectory is to create something that dosen’t create such dismal situations. Hence the long term contracts that are now being signed. As I’ve said ....... we are at the start of the process. It will be 3 years before we can give a judgement about these owners. But it would be nice if we had someone at the club that is able to BELT THIS MESSAGE OUT !!! Look ...... if they need someone that is able to do this - then I’ll do it.
Replacing 1 centre half with zero champ experience aged 23 for a 21 year old highly rated defender with more pace... Sensible. As for pinnock, his replacement yet to be confirmed but I trust he will be equally as good as again someone with how much champ experience?
Conway has explained our strategy very clearly in the Pinnock press release. I'm not sure what else you want them to say?
have to agree here. If the guy was refusing to sign with just a year left then its cash in time. I cannot see the problem. OFC we could have done with him staying but a player with a monk on is no use to the cause.
