When he says the money's not for him, it's for us and cos he's sick of driving 600 miles to find a bargain, could that be seen positively? I hate the fact that football is financially ****ed too, having to work miracles at BFC must be bloody difficult, especially knowing how quickly modern fans turn. Hecky is an exception, but maybe that's the point. Especially when half of the bargains found will probably join someone else cos they can just sling an extra grand or two above what we can scrape together without even caring. Secondly, after Wright and Cellino being mentioned in part 1 of the article, anyone else think a particular manager and executive might be reading with interest in the near future? No! No idea what you are on about - are you referring to Monk and Mansford - in which case shock news Leeds have a bent owner they must already know all about him or are your referring to LJ and Bristol - in which case I dont see any connection - except they may be thinking they dodged a bullet by not stealing him from us
It is possible that Tommy Wright had convinced himself he was acting in the clubs interest. You can see a twisted logic behund it "I tell them the names of players that are probably going to leave anyway [Mawson/Hourianne] and in return, rather than driving to the arse end of the Country to shop in Aldi I get some decent names back from them - and I make a few quid myself". The problem is that whatever way you dress it you are taking money from someone who isn't your employer to take players away from them. If I started recommending members of my firm to another firm in exchange for a back hander from a middleman I'd know what I was doing was wrong and I'd expect to be sacked for it. The fact that he made it clear that the dodgy Italians identity had to be concealed from Patrick and Hecky is, to my mind, more than enough evidence that he has breached his duty to act in good faith to his employers. There's only one outcome for me. I only hope that the actions of one silly, greedy man haven't stained us and give us future difficulties in the transfer market.
that's what they seem to think http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/177781-tommy-wright-named-in-bribe-scandal/&page=1
